Ensemble Vide is an interdisciplinary platform for research and creation - music, image, performance. It creates and produces performances, installations and conferences. It proposes a reflection on music today and intends to support new work projects. Committed to fostering a curious, open-minded approach to contemporary musical culture, Ensemble Vide provides a theoretical and practical space for thought and realization.

Founded jointly in 2010 by musicians, composers, stage directors, visual artists and scientists, the platform is a place for experimentation in reading and listening to our world. This commitment is intended to make encounters and confrontations possible.

The Ensemble Vide works on and questions the content and form of each project according to its venue: industrial or public spaces, theatres, schools or prisons. It proposes original scenographies and reinvented audience arrangements.

Our projects involve contemporary, experimental and research music. They also include sound installations, texts, readings, choreographies and traditional classical or ancient music. The form of a project is thought through and constructed from the elements chosen. The aim is to create a web of relationships, and to explore the links that can be forged with spectators.

Artistic direction is entrusted to Mathilde Court, Petra Krausz and Denis Schuler.
