Martina Brodbeck: the cellist finds the right balance with contrasting tones. Fritz Hauser: the composer and percussionist’s gestures are always thoughtful and calm. One senses something akin to weightlessness. Sounds float in space. Lauren Newton: the singer multiplies the expressive possibilities of her voice, alternately melodic, monotone or noisy. L’Ensemble vocal de Poche: in counterpoint, or rather in addition, the eight-strong choir unfolds and echoes the trio.
Everything here is acoustic, resonant and subtle. Sacred and improvised melodies interweave and develop in echoes.
