Flux de conscience
Concert inspired by Virginia Woolf’s “Mrs. Dalloway”
Flux de conscience is a project inspired by Virginia Woolf’s story Mrs. Dalloway. The book presents twenty-four hours in the life of one woman - Clarissa Dalloway. Her memories mingle with the present as she hosts a party in her home. Characteristic of Virginia Woolf’s writing, streams of thought unfold in parallel, relativising the linear perception of time.
By extension, in each individual, the present is constantly in tension with past elements of life. And music, too, plays this game: between the lived moment of sounds and the intimate resonances they provoke, a poetic dialogue is created that can be endlessly renewed.
