The works of composer and cellist Séverine Ballon take shape and come to life through the encounters she makes when immersed in collective work. Meaning emerges through exchange and the experience of time spent together. It was along these lines that Ensemble Vide commissioned her to write a new version of Siffler, rêver, a modular score for an orchestra of young musicians. Majestically installed in the Arcoop building, the ensemble introduces us to the rich and infinite timbres of a symphonic formation. This piece is at the heart of the program. It is set off by other compositions by the artist, to create a unique and precious moment: a transcendent experience for both audience and performers, a plunge into the present of listening.

The first version of Siffler, rêver was commissioned by MATRIX and premiered at the Transit festival in Leuven (BE). Séverine Ballon will premiere another work as part of Festival Archipel on April 18, 2026.
