Ensemble Vide takes over CALM art center in Lausanne. This three-day project focuses on electronic music created by women, allowing visitors to discover generations of female artists who have explored sound production in a variety of forms. With a film screening, a double electronic music concert and an experimental musical workshop for children and young people, audiences of different affinities and generations can explore the sounds of research.

Sisters with Transistors portrays nine pioneering women of experimental electronic music in a film directed in 2020 by Lisa Rovner. The director shares the stories of these little-known women, shedding light on their practices and their immense influence on the world of electronic music.

» Saturday March 15, 8:30pm - CONCERTS - live sets
Berlin-based Australian Jasmine Guffond, a key figure on the European electronic music scene, takes to the stage for a live performance. Her music, rooted in the study of surveillance technologies and Big Data, reflects our ability to live together in an infinitely connected world.
Opening the evening, the Franco-Genevan artist Salômé Guillemin offers a set of enveloping sounds. Also working in the field of visual arts, she is developing a project combining sound, light and ceramics.

» Sunday March 16, 9am-12pm (9-12 yrs) and 2pm-5pm (13-16 yrs) - WORKSHOPS (creative laboratories)
The creation labs, led by duo IRA, invite young people aged 9 to 16 to play an experimental game of goose, creating their own electronic composition. The workshop explores sound sources, structures and electronic effects, and introduces an intuitive way of composing and imagining sound.
