Sofia
For Sofia, project conceived as a tribute to the immense composer Sofia Gubaïdulina (1931-2025), several groups of musicians take over the domestic spaces of the Maison Tavel. They perform a selection of works from the composer’s vast chamber music repertoire. Curated specifically for this venue and occasion, the choice of pieces multiplies listening moments and spaces. The definition of chamber music then takes on its full meaning, as we return to the private spatial character of this music.
Working hand in hand with the Haute école de Musique – HEM Geneva – professors who are preparing their students for this project, Ensemble Vide has designed the scenography and spaces with a view to arousing the curiosity of the Nuit des Musées’ audience for new forms of listening and concerts.
